YouTuber Spotlight - RockAndRollerBand

"DontStopBelievin Journey RocknRoller"
It's rare to find an artist with so much enthusiasm and joy for his craft fall to the wayside, yet despite his astounding vocal range and unrelenting vibrato, Christopher Roller of RockAndRollerBand has done just that. With his broad 80s repertoire and unique vocal style, he surely deserves more fame than he currently possesses. Check out some of his stuff.

Though the large majority of his videos have little to no views, Roller has been consistently pumping out an inexplicably large amount of content since August of 2013. He is just about to reach 500 videos, with 499 as of me writing this. The sheer scale and variation of his videos is astounding. It truly is one of the few examples of quality and quantity.

But what's a singer without vocal talent? Roller's vocal style can only be described as Bruce Dickinson's glorious tenor vibrato mixed with the unbridled passion of Bob Dylan's famous drawl. It's raw, it's powerful, and it's unabashedly insalubrious.

His most popular video by far is "HaveIToldYouLately RodStewart RocknRoller", in which he sings Rod Stewart's classic song, "Have I Told You Lately". The reason this video is so popular is because he briefly advertised it on YouTube at the time of it's release. It's a cynical world we live in that the only way someone with this talent can make views is through the power of money. That being said, it is an interesting performance, to say the least, especially considering his tendency to cover classics of the 80s rock era.

Though he purports to be a one man show, he occasionally brings his singing associate, Rigo Vidal, to sing with him. It adds a nice variety to the ensemble, and you can see them above performing Rick Astley's viral hit, "Never Gonna Give You Up".

This man has a passion unlike any other. This is the kind of man that would be crazy enough to quit his job in the interest of his craft. And he possesses the determination to succeed, but perhaps crash and burn. Nevertheless, his love for singing overcomes his lack of success. His determination shows us all that if we try hard enough, we just might get an average of 30 views on YouTube. This man serves as a testament to the fact that we can all live life to its very fullest, as long as we don't stop believin'.
