Today, Bottom Feeder brings you someone who is not just a distinguished artist, but also a decorated veteran. Hailing from the United States, Liam Blakemore is the leader of both the New Lunar Republic's 352nd Armored Division and the 445th Ranger Squad. He also cites that one of his best friends is Princess Luna, the Supreme Commander in Chief of the NLR. Luna, who had been imprisoned by the Solar Empire, escaped after 1000 years of captivity in the moon. It was undoubtedly the hard work and determination of heroes like Liam which provided the avenue for her triumphant return to Equestria.
With so much on Commander Blakemore's plate, it's hard to imagine how he finds the time to create such beautiful pieces like the one above. I suppose you can't explain true genius. Check out more of his work below.

Blakemore depicts here the night of Princess Luna's historic return. Legend foretold that on the longest day of the thousandth year the stars would aid in her escape, and she would bring about nighttime eternal. Thanks to the ceaseless dedication of her steadfast followers, that legend became a reality. This is all perfectly captured in this masterful landscape.

Ah, but of course war takes its toll on everyone, even the strong. Here is what emerged from the twisted wreckage that was Commander Blakemore's mind after the liberation of the Rainbow Factory in Cloudsdale. The Rainbow Factory was a concentration camp which specialized in the systematic harvesting of young filly and colt pegasi who could not pass the flying test. It was a slow and violent death. One shudders to think of the horrors that the 445th Rangers witnessed that day.

Still, in the midst of such suffering, there is hope. A hope which burns bright enough to light the way for those who have fallen by the wayside. The forgotten shall rise, the old regime will fall. This piece is perhaps the most effective recruitment poster anyone could ever ask for. The Commander really outdid himself on this one.

It is clear that the old ways cannot stand. The tyranny of the wretched establishment will not go unpunished. The NLR is already seeing victory all across the countryside. In time they will march right up the steps of the castle in Canterlot. Luna, standing in front of a legion of loyal troops, with Liam Blakemore, one of her best friends, at her side. Then Celestia, the tyrant monarch, will see justice.
